I was looking forward to visiting the Tile Museum in Lisbon for a long time, and it didn't dissapoint! It might not sound like a hoot, but they are truly beautiful and an important part of Portugals cultural history.
These tiles were from the 1400s, and appeared almost like a Persian rug. Stunning, right?!
The museum it self is an old monestery, and is worth a visit in it self.
The museum also exhibited modern tiles, and these three were my favourites.
